Chairman of the Bo Rangers football club Babadi Kamara has said Bo Rangers used to be the laughingstock of the Premier League due to their poor performance and position, which he said placed the team “below the ladder”. Kamara boasted of transforming the team since they took over the reins of the executive management, which he cited as the reason for the team’s current form.
“For the first time in the history of the club, we are leading the Sierra Leone Premier League.” The club chair maintained their plan is to see Bo Rangers becoming the best club in West Africa or Africa. “But that cannot happen alone except with good leadership and people like Alhaji Kanja Sesay, Minister of Energy; Fouad Daboh, Director General of NASSIT; Ishameal Kabbay, Managing Director Salcab; Dr. Dennis Sandi, Minister of Lands and others.”
Chairman Babadi claimed that they are the only club in the country with a fan base that contribute funds for every game to hire a bus for their supporters. He disclosed the team sold an unprecedented two thousand plus jerseys and generated huge sums of money for the team’s account, adding the gate proceeds have also been encouraging to the team.
