The Competition Director at the Sierra Leone Football Association, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, says if the premier league ends before CAF release date, they will register clubs to compete. Sierra Leone still stands a chance to register and there is no punishment for a member association that fails to take part. He went on that the only time CAF will punish a club is when a club registers for a competition and fails to take part with no valid reason. According to Issa Kamara, with 98 matches left for the Sierra Leone Premier League to end it will be difficult because we are now in the rainy season and COVID-19 is still a crisis. He appealed to the Premier League Clubs to come together and appoint teams to represent the country in CAF competitions this year.
