The Minister of Information and Communications, Mohamed Rahman Swarray, has dismissed rumours of another imminent lockdown for the country. The Minister said the government will not institute any further lockdowns for the moment, but did not rule out another lockdown when the need arises. He urged everyone to continue adhering to the precautionary measures of the WHO and Ministry of Health. He said previous cases have proven that community infections are on the increase. Minister Swarray noted they will assess the situation with the Ministry of Health and that any further lockdown will be duly communicated to the public.
