AWMS trains teachers on Professional Development

Annie Walsh Memorial School (AWMS) has completed a two day training for over 50 members of it staff on the theme “Better Teachers, Stronger Nation.” The training which was held at the school hall on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th September 2019, was funded by the Annie Walsh Old Girls Association (AWOGA) Washington branch. The training revolved around teachers’ code of conduct, lesson plan, the scheme of work and discipline in general. The Principal of the Junior Secondary School (JSS) section of the school, Antoinette Horton said the purpose of the training was to enable the teachers know what is expected of them and how they should adapt and conform to the rules and regulations governing the teaching profession.
