BENNIMIX operations suspended

The Environment Protection Agency, Sierra Leone (EPASL) has   suspended the operations of Bennimix Food Company in Bo for operating in contravention of the Agency Act (2008) posing serious threat to the lives of people and environment. This suspension came after series of engagement with management of the company to obtain a valid Environmental Impact Assessment License to enable the Agency to monitor the operations of the company to ensure that their operations remain within acceptable environment standards. According to the Public Relations Officer of EPA James Tamba Kamara, they have been engaging the Management of Bennimix for the past two years, but they have failed to listen to their calls. He pointed out that Environmental issues are a huge problem for people and they cannot relax as an agency when things are going wrong.
