Jabbie continued that the pro’s are going to play on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday followed by the junior golfers and amateurs are to play on Saturday. He furthered that the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank organised the tournament for both lawn tennis and golf as part of their social responsibility and called on others and banking institutions to organise more tournaments. He maintained that golf and tennis keep people physically fit and also develop their confidence. Managing Director of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Phidelis Turay, said they have a rich history in sponsoring golf with the Freetown Golf Club, which is why they included lawn tennis in this year’s tournament instead of golf. Turay continued that over the next few days the golf course and tennis courts will be alive as both the golfers and tennis players are going to battle for supremacy. He further encouraged all the players in their various categories to show their sportsmanship and professionalism.
