On 13 August 2015, the partially clad body of Hannah Bockarie was found along the Aberdeen Beach in the Western Part of Freetown. The matter was reported to the police and investigations commenced. Mohamed Lamin Kamara and Paul Korn were accused of murder. Over four years since the matter was charged to court, the court still struggles to speedily try the two men. Empanelling jurors and getting witnesses to testify remains a constant challenge in prosecuting the matter. The defense counsel Phillip Mamie has made several applications for bail but the court is not inclined to put the two men on bail. At the Siaka Stevens Street High Court in Freetown on Monday 7th October 2019, nine out of twelve jurors were present.
