For killing fowl Farmers case goes to High Court

20 years old farmer Samai Lahai of Vaahun Village in Nongowa Chiefdom, Kenema District has been committed to the High Court on his last appearance at Magistrate Court No. 2 before Presiding Magistrate Joseph Tobbi for killing an animal with intent to steal contrary to Section 4 of the Larceny Act of 1916. The particulars of offence said the accused, on Friday 19th June 2020 at Vaahun Village in Kenema District killed one fowl and five chickens valued Le100,000 with intent to steal the carcasses, property of Watta Momoh.

No plea was taken and the matter was committed to the High Court for ruling. The matter was prosecuted by Inspector A.S. Musa attached to the Legal Justice and Support Department of the Kenema Police Division. SM/7/8/2020
