Former Information Minister Mohamed Bangura testifies in SALCAB matter

The Former Minister of Information and Communication (MIC), Hon. Mohamed Bangura has testified against his former Permanent Secretary (P.S), Paul Sandi and two others in an alleged Sierra Leone Cable limited (SALCAB) Corruption case. The ACC alleged that between 10th and 29th June, 2016, the P.S, Mohamed Sheriff (former Managing Director, and Idrissa Yillah (Chairperson) both of SALCAB conspired to, and illegally withdrew, the sum of US$300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) from one of SALCAB’s Account, in the guise of paying for a false contract awarded to Base Construction Services; a company owned by Sandi, who was the then Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
