The Head of delegation to Senegal, Kofi Deen Nyakoh, said he was very impressed with the talent displayed by the young U-20 girls in both the home and away matches. He promised to use his position as an Exco of SLFA to advocate for more support to be given towards female football in Sierra Leone. He made this statement on Monday 3rd February 2020 during a brief reception at SLFA Secretariat in Kingtom after the Sierra Leone Football Association received the delegation of the National Female U-20 team after their 0-0 draw in the return leg of the FIFA U-20 Female World Cup Preliminary Qualifier against Senegal. The SLFA General Secretary, Christopher Kamara, said he was pleased with the performance of the young women, especially having come back home with a respectable result away in Senegal. “As a Football Federation we welcome you back whole heartedly and with great appreciation for your outstanding performance in the home and away matches against Senegal. You all are a clear example of a brighter future in Sierra Leone female football,” Kamara said.
