Today 22nd May, 2020 is the International Day of Biological Diversity; an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a period of time. It involves counting plants, animals, fungi and other organisms that live in a place. There are 10 million species and research is ongoing at the Arizona State University, to identify all 10 million species in the next 50 years. Students are expected to classify organisms according to five kingdom and three domain classification systems.
