Murder accused appears in court looking sick

A man in his mid twenties, Abubakarr Kamara is facing one count of murder at the Siaka Stevens Street High Court in Freetown. The accused who looked sick appeared before Justice Augustine K. Musa at the High Court on Friday 6th March, 2020 on one count of murder contrary to the offences against the Persons Act, 1861. It is alleged that on 21st March 2019, in Freetown, Kamara murdered Nannah Bangura. His defense counsel, Morison Karimu from the Sierra Leone Legal Aid Board, drew the Judge’s attention to the health condition of the accused. The Judge took notice of his physical appearance but stated that there was nothing before him to show the the accused was sick. The Judge advised the defense counsel to take the necessary measure before he can make any application before him. Kamara was walked out of the court room aided by a prison officer. He was not granted bail. Justice Musa adjourned the matter to Friday 13th March, 2020.
