As Sierra Leone U-20 team Shooting Stars keep their hopes alive in the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) U-20 competition in Guinea when they defeated Mauritania by three goals to one (3-1) on Tuesday 26th November 2019. Suffian Kalokoh scored a hat-trick as Sierra Leone beat 10-man Mauritania 3-1 at the 28 September Stadium to keep alive their hopes of reaching the West African Football Union (Wafu) Zone A Under-20 Championship semifinals. Mauritania opened the scoring after 30min through Mbareck Oumar before their keeper was sent off after committing a foul on Suffian Kalokoh who scored the equaliser in the 47th minute from the spot-kick. The young prolific Bo Rangers striker completed his first international hat-trick with a brace to sink Mauritania who lost their opening match 2-0 against host Guinea. According to the Striker for Bo Rangers, they were highly motivated by the Ambassador and his entourage who visited them and the technical Team who put out a solid team together for this great success. “We were very determined, motivated and ready to play our lives for this victory tonight for our motherland.” The Head Coach Tostao Kamara has assured Sierra Leoneans of victory in their next and final match against the host Guinea on Friday.
