The President of the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone, Dr Patrick Coker, has said they don’t select athletes for associations representing the country. He said that is not the NOC’s job; that the selection of athletes for competitions rests with the associations.
Meanwhile, he said their role is to advise the associations when necessary. Dr Coker advised early preparation for games would make it possible for Sierra Leone to achieve its aims and objectives.
The NOC president said the National Sports Authority (NSA) has been formed to give directions in sports and they are working together to ensure sports is developed in the country. BT/7/8/2020
